Recentemente apresentado no Guardian online, este guia interactivo criado pela English Heritage fornece medidas práticas sobre como melhorar o ambiente urbano na vossa querida cidade histórica. É muito tradicionalista, eu sei, mas o interface é bastante divertido. No entanto, eu deixava ficar a casa lilás. Devem ser os vizinhos mais interessantes lá do bairro.

Recently featured on Guardian online, this interactive guide created by English Heritage gives you the basics on what to do to improve the urban environment of your cherished historical town. It’s very traditionalist, I know, but the interface is really entertaining. I would leave the purple building, though. It’s the funniest house in the whole neighborhood.

    há um problema maior: caso a residência tenha recebido sucessivas camadas de pintura ao longo das décadas, a reconstituição da aparência original poderia terminar por ser uma invenção histórica...

    Essas anedotas dão a personalidade do bairro. Com certeza não daixariam uma coisa dessas ser realizada hoje em dia, com as regras de urbanismo e vizinhança que deve ter em rigor por lá. Mas considerando que a intervenção não é tão recente, ah... deixa aí! Também tem história pra contar.

    A cor fica feia no meio das outras... se tudo fosse coloridissimo talvez, mas assim...

    The architecture blog A Barriga de um Arquitecto / The Belly of an Architect (written in bilingual Portuguese-English) is mainly focused on contemporary architecture and urban design, covering recent works from Portuguese architects as well as projects of international significance.

    My name is Daniel Carrapa. I was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1973. I’m an architect living in Évora, a nice historical town that was included in the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 1986. I’m married, have 4 cats – Matilde, Patanisco, Olivia, Lisa – and 1 dog – Moby. Moby is a three-legged dog. He’s okay. I graduated as an architect in 1996 (FAUTL Lisbon Faculty of Architecture). I am also an authority on cat litter and will provide expert advice upon request.
